In this book the author gives a general overview of the rapid experimentation methodology. They talk about the challenges, good practices and advantages.
Everything that can be tested, should be tested.
Sacrifice short term gains, for long term knowledge.
Meaningful learning comes from unexpected (well documented) results.
Significant improvement comes from small incremental changes that generate a big impact.
Create a culture of free flowing information, an infrastructure where everyone can run fast and low cost experiments.
Fail fast and cheap. Leverage the capacity to do big scale testing with online tools.
In general this is an interesting view on the application of the scientific method and technology in the real world. The author uses real experiments by real companies to illustrate its points. It is eye opening to see the power to which we have access through data.
