La Empresa Consciente: Cómo Construir Valor A Través de Valores

Fredy Kofman

8 abr 2023

In this book the author explores the role of the individual, the collective, and the market in ethics. This is a development book that talks about business. In general a very eclectic read, it includes Buddhism, diverse ethical perspectives and pragmatic examples.

  • What does it mean to be successful? What's success beyond success?

  • Integrity: simple, yet not easy. Prioritize long term success over short term gains.

  • There's no higher liberty than discipline.

  • Responsibility: The ability to respond (and more importantly of consciously choosing how to response).

  • Ontological humility: understanding the validity of diversity in perspectives.

  • Everything is interconnected, impermanent and vacant. A business is a manifestation of interconnection.

In general this book has a bunch of useful ideas. I do think the author jumps from one idea (and author cited) to other, but it is worth reading.

This is an open invitation to eliminate this dichotomy between moral and business from a humanistic and individualistic point of view.
